Angry help would be welcomed

hi,

need your help on below, pls:

have bought photopost 4.8.5, installed, integrated with VB 3.0.3, everything looking like this page, except:

1) I do not have the "photo gallery" button between the FAQ and New posts in the header - what could be wrong or what needs to be edited further to have it?

2) how to change to show the "latest" photos and not Featured as on this and my page?

3) I am also among the ones which cannot acces to the ADMIN, if I insert my admin fm VB to the pp login fields It says "login successful but I get redirected to the index page and not to the admin to configure pp.....

and if I insert my VB admin username into the admin page and press "forgot password" I get the error msg:

"This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view"

can anybody help in the above

tks

Hello,

That's normal:

1) you need to modify templates to have that button.
2) don't know directly like that...
3) cookie issue ? vb3 integration done correctly ?

Was it your first installation ?

Best regards,
Interdit

Hi,

My personal opinion

a) upgrade vb3 to 3.0.5 (security issues)
b) pp to 4.8.6
c) as explained here navbar link to gallery
You need to modify in the vb3 templates 'navbar', scroll down to New posts and add a button, just like in html
d) for 2) check the options in the admin area for that we need to fix 3)
e) for 3) search on the forum about cookie settings, to be sure it's right,...

Check your paths and config for the vb3 integration in config-int.php as well.

Hoping that will help you out.
Otherwise, do you have an url and a test account ?

Lightbulb

Hello,

Happy that you find out by yourself,

Here for the rest:

http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/admincp/
Login as admin
Templates
--Templates Manager
--Choose your style and in the scrollbox, the first one: modify the templates
--Scrolldown to the templates group: Navigation / Path, click on it
--double click on navbar
-- look for this:

</if>
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="../forums/faq.php?$session[sessionurl]">$vbphrase[faq]</a></td>

after the faq button you can add for example:

<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="../photopost/">Photo Gallery</a></td>

Good luck,
Hoping it will work for you as well.

Francois

Ps: my admin area was in french, so maybe some categories are not the exact same words.
Pps: in your navbar templates, you will need to put before all links to ../forums/ so it will work correcly on vb and pp side
Ppps: smile and post a link when done so we can see your work
