Wrong Usernames???

OK, I had photopost integrated with phpBB for about a year, and just this past week upgraded to Vbulletin. I now have VB and PP working nicely together, except for one thing. Some comments that were posted before the switch to VB are posted under the wrong name now.

Ex: birdzrmylife posted a comment while we used phpBB. Now, that comment was posted by a totally different name. It has happened to several people and I'm not sure why. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't usually recommend changing forums unless you are sure the userid's stayed the same between the two installations. Did the userids stay the same between upgrades?

Upgrade to Vb from phpBB will change userid's and this is your issue. All your comments and Photos belong to other people now.

Ouch. And I take it there is no way to correct this?

well either write a script to rewrite everything or as admin hand assign all the photos to the proper user

OK, well, to write a script, I will have to know which users were changed to which users, correct? Either way, this is gonna be one big pain in the butt.

Yeah, thats why changing forums is a bad idea.... The only way around this would be to modify whatever import scipt you use to track both old and new userids and then write a script to process the entire photopost gallery. Not an easy task.
