Why can't I create thumbs?

What destroyed the reference in the database to the original thumbs and why does Photopost refuse to create thumbs when the cats are populated with images.

Will this have to be done every couple of weeks to fulfill Photopost requirements in operability?

safe mode now set to OFF on ongaros.com domain

blank page is new problem. so photopost works to some extent with safe mode on and since no code has changed on the site, one would surmise the same thing would work 100% with safe mode turned off. since that is the way it is supposed to be

You can not create thumbs with safe mode on. The requirements to operate the software have not changed since you bought it.

What has changed obviously is your server setup. Your php and server for instance was just upgraded On like December 18th.

Basically until you have safe mode off and the uploads and directory permission set to 777 as well as the subdirectories under them to 777 you will have issues with uploads or rebuilding thumbs.

Please lets keep a discussion on one site and problem here. If your having an issue with some other install we can start a new thread but basically that other link there is nothing there

safe mode had nothing to do with the underlying problem if it did how were thumbnails created in the first place. you uploaded your own image to the gallery you logged in and affected chnages to the admin section to complete the integration... in other word you helped... yet two weeks later the thumbnails disappeared, with existing images in data directories, thumbs cannot be recreated, the ref to those images no longer exists in the database as per a prev message here from you

the only effective method to repair the software error is to dump the directory information and re-upload the images to recreae the thumbs

question remains

how did the reference information to thumbs remove itself from the database
why can't thumbs be recreated when images reside in data directories

Delete the images I uploaded as a test and then recheck the data directory permissions as stated and then try rebuilding thumbs although I dont see any missing thumbs

Of course safe mode had everything to do with whether thumbnails are made or not

If you upload an image thats under your image restraints so the image processor is not touching it the main image would show but with safe mode on the thumbnail would not be made as it needs to call the image processor to make the thumb which would be locked down in safe mode
