Please help with Main page layout -- Explain why?

Can you please explain why my main index page table are so squished together?

The category column especially is too small. Please inform.

Your using a fixed table width

You have dateformat set to the longest possible format so of course the other tables are squished.

If your not using cat avatars try turning off that table row and try shortening the date format.

With such a small site width your not gonna be able to do much if you want to show everything
