4.8.2 to 4.8.6 Upgrade

We are upgrading from 4.8.2 to 4.8.6 due to the recent security fixes.

We downloaded the latest 4.8.6 build and uploaded the files.

When we attempt to upgrade with upgrade.php the list of 'to upgrade from' doesn't include 4.8.x. It stops at 4.7.x.

Was there another upgrade script that was to be included in the build?

Looking back at the upgrade text for 4.8.2 to 4.8.5 there was an upgrade482 script. Is that what we need or can we select the 4.7.x entry? If another script is needed can a moderator post it please?

After looking at the source for upgrade.php I think I see what the issue is.

The code for the upgrade from 4.8.2 is there but there isn't a link for the upgrade that points to the 482 parameter.

I copied the 4.7 link and changed the parameter and was able to do the upgrade successfully.

I'd suggest updating the upgrade file to add the link.

I am having this trouble too!
I am upgrading from 482 to 486

When I click on the upload 482 link, I just get a blank page.

I can't log into the admin control panel and I don't think the upgrade has really been completed!

I resolved my problem - I had put the upgrade.php file into the upgrade folder - do I just delete that whole folder of old upgrade files?

When I took the file out and ran it -it did its thing!

Generally speaking, after you complete an upgrade you don't want to leave the upgrade script files on the server since that could allow someone to execute them after you've already done the upgrade.
