seperate database problem

I'v been trying to update the copy of PP on my main site and all went well until I edited the vBulletin index file. When I set the path for the two includes in vBulletin's index file with full path, my forums disappeared. All I get is "Could not select photopost database" on a blank page. The gallery works properly and I can log in and out from there with no problem. The previous version, although integrated via the user database was not integrated into the vBulletin index page. I have tried setting the database names in the two inc_ files but that seems to make no difference.

I'm a little confused by the following excerpt from the integration instructions:

"If you have PhotoPost and vB in different databases, you'll need to scroll to the bottom of the script and uncomment the mysql_select_db() command (on line 26) and insert your vB database name and uncomment the mysql_select_db on line 310 and add your vB3 database in quotes"

Shouldn't it be PP database name and not vB? I've tried both ways anyway and neither work. Its pretty much a foregone conclusion that I'm doing something wrong but I'll be damned if I can see what it is

Any help will be much appreciated

Nope the select database at the bottom has tobe VB and the link command and the select database in the config part of the file needs to have the mysql stuff for Photopost up top.

What I have in both files is this:

Up top in the config area:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
and at the bottom:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

I'm assuming its supposed to be a simple matter of inserting the pp database name at the top and the vb database name at the bottom? If so then it is still refusing to work for me.
