Error Message - SMTP mail issue

I see this message when I'm approving photos??

Quote:
Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 503 Bad sequence of commands. You must specify the recipients of a message before you can send it in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\powwows.com\httpdocs\galleries\adm-approve.php on line
Why would that happen??

Can't say I've seen that one before. What line number is it complaining about?

And, as always (I should make it part of my signature), some server info would be helpful.

Sounds like your SMTP server isn't responding to PHP's mail command... You'd probably have to check into your SMTP server configuration and see why it isn't accepting mail()

Another question - does it send out other emails okay from Photopost? Like an ecard email or a notification email of new posts?

I've modified your subject line to be in line with our request for a little more information to help others looking for similiar help.

I am having a similair issue, Windows 2K3, IIS, but i get this msg whenever someone uploads a picture:

"Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 503 Bad sequence of commands. You must specify the recipients of a message before you can send it in \photopost\image-inc.php on line 912"

and i get it 3 times.

what version of the program are you using what is line 912 for you as that does not line up to our current code as anything to do with mail?

Like Michael states sounds like your server is not setup to do php mail.
