Turck MMCache? That was a theory I put forward...It's a pretty widely-used part of Apache.

I can ask the host, but I doubt it's turn-off-able.

Just checked with the host, there's nothing the cache would be doing to cause this. Totally unrelated.

Hardcoding everything in gives me the error as well...could it be due to my gallery having so few posts, so sometimes the result returned has no results with a postcount, or something?

When is the last time you got any of these errors when viewing the forums? I spent some time viewing the forums refreshing the page etc and no mysql errors.

It happened for me just now.

The errors aren't showing onscreen any more...too annoying. The effect of the photo box not showing is what happens now.

The one on www.nzboards.com/index.php does this too...and it's just calling a copy of the script.
