A few things to the new v 4.8.5

thanks for the new release.

I installed it and have several small things.
I am using pp's vb3 integration.

1. The signatures are still not working everytime
Example: http://www.clanforums.com/photopost...to.php?photo=24
(See first comment signature).

2. Avatars are displayed with their actual size and now reduced to the max allowed size like vb3 does it.
Example: http://www.clanforums.com/photopost...to.php?photo=18

3. In inc_featured.php it would be nice to have the chance to switch between vertical and horizontal

4. I had problems using upgrade482.php cause it could not find the config-inc.php. I solve this by adding the full path before the config-inc.php.
A hint for all other users would be nice.

5. I am using the right sidebar and cannot find the template where I can change the topic of the random image gallery.
There is Random Image - <Galleryname> as table topic displayed but I want it to be Random <Galleryname> cause otherwise its to wide which results in a line break.

6. Where can I get other images for NEXT IMAGE - SLIDESHOW etc. Those blue ones are really bad :-)

7. This is most important I think.
When do you think will pp check in the vb database which language the user is using and switch over to it?
Some of my users are browsing the board in german and get an english gallery.
It would be nice if english users see it like normal but for the german users the german language files are used.

Thanks in advance

I can answer two of your questions/comments:

2) VB3 doesn't limit the avatar display size by default. You must have edited your posbit template to restrict the display size. You can restrict the size that they can upload per usergroup, but not have a separate "display size".

4) Sounds like you tried to run it from the photopost/upgrades directory instead of putting it in the photopost directory like the instructions state.

1) The link doesn't work for me, but we are calling vB's parse function.

3) You can change it yourself by using just 1 column.

4) You run the upgrades within the main PhotoPost directory.

5) The titles are set in pp-inc.php at lines 516, 529 and 541 - you can remove the dash there, I suppose.

6) You can create your own and upload them into your images directory. We have a couple styles in the stylesheets/* directories, but you can customize them yourself to suit your needs.

7) We need current language files to be able to offer reliable language selection and we've asked our members to help us get them up-to-date.

You have images locked to registered only so I can see no examples but I would assume there is some additional bbcode you have added or such that is non standard to a normal VB3. I think Michael has ported over there normal convert_markups

As far as your sidebar text you can edit the language file and change that wording try pp-inc.php

You would have to make any images you want to replace the default ones with.

As far as auto-language translation that is something we are looking into but since the forums have different languages than we do in some instances we are looking at it but no timeframe on it.

If you have enabled the "enhanced" options, then it would call vB's parse_bbcode; it you have it turned off, then not all code may translate using our internal convert_markups.

Wow, thanks for so many answers.

I would like to see the gallery changing its languages depenging on which language the members use in the forum but if you're already looking into that I am sure it will be a feature sooner or later.

5) The Random Image Box is the only box where the topic is not centered.
I am wondering which template I have to edit to do so?

I also added a screenshot of the signature error I was talking about.
There are line breakes in the pp sig where they should not be.
The sig has no line breaks within vB. Hopefully this makes it clearer.

It appears you are using the non-vb3enhanced templates; so you can edit the featurespals.tmpl file and change line 7 to use "center" instead of "left" for centering the text.

I'm not sure about the extra lines in the sig. If you are using the current vb3.php from the build, I don't know why they would be added; an older beta version of vb3.php added lines, but that was fixed later on.

Ok the Box title is centered now but the other error is still there.
I think I am using the enhanced templates cause in the admin menu I set
'Do you want to enable the vB3 Enahnced features which use vB3 controls in PhotoPost?' to 'On'.

Do I have to do anything else?
How can we fix this?

As per the instructions if your using the VB3 enhanced features you need to copy over the templates in the vb3enhanced directory under templates to templates
