You have done one of two things.

Obviously as you have read if your have the vb3 enhancements on it reads your cookie domain and path from VB

You needed to upon install specify the cookie prefix and VB3 license number. You have entered one of those two things wrong.

Forgive the ignorance...

What should the cookie prefix be... does it matter? Can I just set it to anything as I did the database prefix? The vb3 cookie setting is blank, so maybe that's part of my problem?

I did check the license and it matched.

Thanks!

The default vb3 cookie prefix is bb

No need to be sorry you did not know. The VB cookie prefix is not in your admin area it is in your config file

Upon closer inspection, I noticed that I was missing rows 166-182 in the settings table. I checked all the upgrade scirpts, and none of them add these tables. I have had photopost operational for more than 2 years, and have well over 7gig's of pictures. All previos upgrades with photopost and vbulletin 2.x have worked well.

Since the upgrades only modify the values for rows currently present, this cause problems like the ones described above.

I add rows 166-182 to the settings table. I had to look in upgrade832.php to see what the values were.

What config file? Neither Config-INC or Config-INT has anything about cookie prefixes. Needless to say, I have the same problem.

Your cookie settings are now in the database. You entered these upon install or in an upgrade as I posted you update your cookie settings then save the new config.

The upgrade482.php file adds the new settings

I have tried using my old config and re-running the upgrade script but it still doesn't seem to work. Would it be possible to manually add the new cookie settings through SQL?

thanks

Upgrade Issues

Hello!

I uploaded all the files and made sure that I did NOT overwrite my existing config_inc.php file. However, when I try to run the upgrade script I get an error that says "Cannot connect to the database". Any ideas why I would be getting that error?

Thanks!

The integration appears to be working as the auto login between forums and photopost is working, but admin area is unavailable.

Thanks.
Same for me.....I followed the upgrade instuctions as directed and everything was fine and yet I keep getting looped out to the index page when logging in to the admin panel......this used to happen with the earlier versions of VB3as well and if I remember correctly it was cookie related and the vb devs produced a script fix.........is there such a fix for this or do I have to do a fresh install of photopost???

thanks

What am I missing here.

Guys, I've had your software for a long while. I've been there with the initial growing pains, patient and tolerant. When my member access expired a month ago, I renewed. TRIED to upgrade, that didn't work. Wiped all of my DB and did a clean install and THAT didn't work. I am getting very very frustrated and wondering what I paid for.

You can always edit the cookie settings in the settings table through sql

As far as your new install what integration? I have done many installs this past week with no problems.

You would need to post the url to your install and a login you can PM to us so we can take a look.

The user you sent me is usergroupid of 11 of course your not going to have an admin login till you login with the main admin user and edit your usergroup permissions to allow usergroup permission to allow that

We code our software to VB defaults which means normal admins which is usergroup 6 would have admin links.

11 is a custom group you made up

I apologize that at the time the user I pm'ed you didn't belong to the admin group. It does now, and I assure you that the problem is there within userid 6 which is the admins.

The issue you have is you have incorrectly specified your cookie settings in the Photopost options

You did not have your cookie prefix set to bb nor was your cookie domain set to .globalaffairs.org like in VB.

You should be fine now have a Merry Christmas

Hello,

I am doing a fresh install of the latest version of vBulletin and PhotoPostPHP.

I am experiencing the same problems as describe in this thread and i suspect its a cookie problem.

What table, Field, and variable name(s) do I edit in the data base to set my cookie prefix and cookie domain?

I did not set those two values during the install.

thanks.

The 'settings' table. Record #172 and 173.
