Easy pp question, went from...

Just a quick question, I currently run PhotoPost Pro with UBB Threads, actually I just changed forums from UBBT to VB and want to continue to use PhotoPost.
What are the steps to change my PP from interacting with UBBT over to VB? It does use a new database now so would I be able to import into the new database or do I have to start over etc.?

Well you can switch integrations by selecting the right database info and changing the settings over to vb3 etc.

However your going to have a major issue with none of the pictures and comments belonging to the right users. Vb when importing forum software etc rewrite the user numbers thus the users would not be the same in Photopost no longer.

Kind of what I thought, so do I need to blow everything away and start over? Do I need to install again from scratch?

Unless your gonna reassign all photos to the proper users you had before yes I would do this

1. Empty the data directories of all Photopost leave the cats

2. Edit the config to point to the vb3 database

3. Edit the settings table setting 41 to vb3 and 83 to the proper table prefix.

4. Realign cookie settings.

Now of course if you want to try out the new 4.8.5 I would just start fresh

Am I allowed to move my old PP to another directory as a temporary thing and then do a fresh install hooked up to VB? This way users can still go back to the old UBBT PP and get pics if needed and then they can reup load to the new PP DB.
