Question Multiple Categories

I need to be able to allow my users to upload a photo to multiple categories, and have the comments and stats stay the same throughout.

Is there a way to do this already that I have overlooked?

If not can you please point me in the rite direction to find a mod or alter the program myself.

OS: Windows 2000 Server, Under My controll
PHP: 4.3.7
MySQL: 4.0.20a-nt

Thank you

it's possible to add a pic in multiple categories (options!), but the stats count 2 points for every single picture.

for the developers: maybe it's possible to count an upload in more than one categorie only as 1 post!?!?

Thanks Marc for your reply. The only option that I have found for multiple categories uploads duplicate images to each category and keeps separate the comments and stats for each instance of the photo. Is there any way to consolidate that?

In the stats when you upload to multiple categories or use the programs ability to assign to multiple cats only one picture is uploaded on disk and only one photo is counted in the stats since it is one insert.

Thanks for your reply.

Is this the same for the comments. I am having problems with the multiple category upload making duplicate images. If you will look at this link you will see the multiples.

Yes it will make multiple entries in the member gallery since a members gallery shows all a users pictures.

You can set in the admin options for the members gallery to not show all a members pictures.

Ok that is what I am finding as well. The way it works right now is not sufficient for my users needs so it looks like I will be doing a little reprogramming. I was just hoping for a solution that was already thought of.

Thanks for your help.
