Pictures on a different server Is it possible to host the pictures on a different server as the script? If so, how and how easily can this be done? Thanks |
There is no easy way to do something like that since the http upload function is for the server at hand as well as the server path is specific to the server the software is on as well. There would need to be some complex ftp tunnelling to allow something like this as well as major restructuring to use just url's to grab images instead of server path. |
Hmmm, well then, how easy is it to transfer the whole scripts, images and database to a new server? |
It can be done as you would move any other database appliction - move the script, move the directories, move the database and then edit the database to change any paths which may be different. |
