Blank page after install I am installing photopost on a shared server. I am also running vb3. I am a beginnner so bare with me if I say something stupid. I installed vb3 with no problems. It works fine. I tried to install photopost and I make it all the way to the last step of installation and when I click COMPLETE PHOTOPOST INSTALLATION it goes to a blank screen and nothing. A pure white screen. If I try to go to the gallery index nothing but white. Any ideas?? |
Have you uploaded and CHMOD the required files to install Photopost. If you have a white screen after install its not finding what it needs to display |
Yes I did. Can it be the paths to the directories?? I have tried a bunch of different this for the paths thinking this might be the problem. The folders do have the correct permissions. Help please. |
Well view your phpinfo.php file <?phpinfo();?> this would be the file contents and name it phpinfo.php and upload to the server and this should list the currect paths. Yes wrong paths can most certainly make things fail Go ahead and link it here and I can tell you the proper path |
Im sorry sir you lost me. Exactly what do you want me to do? |
OK.. Sorry. Well now I have finished the install and it works. BUT, I can not log in as administrator. Some where along the line something got screwed up. If I click register it takes me to a VB page telling me I am already registered un the name administrator but if I click login it goes to a photopost login and lets me log in but I cant get to the admin control panel. PLEASE HELP! It seems to be a cookie problem BUT I have the paths the same I dont get it. I click login and it lets me login using the vb admin username and password. But it does not show me the admin link |
Then you do not have cookies set correctly Here is an example below of aligned cookies VB cookie path / cookie domain BLANK or .domain.com Photopost cookie path / cookie domain BLANK or .domain.com cookie prefix bb VB license number entered in the Photopost config file ( NOT CUSTOMER NUMBER ) You would be set right if you follow the above settings |
