copying categories from one installation to another?

Hi

I have 2 PP installations which shall look identical (layout). Same category groups, same colours, same usergroups. But different prefixes in the database, the url and the content (images, users etc.) will be different.

How can I easily copy the settings from installation 1 to installation 2 without too much manual work

Are these setting saved in a certain file, so that I simply make a fresh installation and copy the file later on over it (ftp)?

Do a clean install to the new site and setup the new copy

You would copy the mysql database tables categories and usergroups to the new install to make sure they use the same cats and usergroups
