ImageMagick and Watermarks

My Host just moved me to a new server where GD2 is not available. They have ImageMagick installed, I previously had the option for On The Fly Watermark which worked just fine until the move. I know that GD2 you use the On The fly Watermarks option.

Can you watermark images with imagemagick? If so How do I need to go about doing this. I have looked through quite a few threads while searching for an answer. I found information that with imagemagick in the Options for PP, PPC, and RP you can select Enable watermarking of photos with overlay image to Yes, Select your position, put in the full server path to the image. Below is the link to the image.

Other then this I have not been able to get anything to work.

I need all the images to be watermarked. I have also selected all the categories to watermark the images but this still will not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Have you turned on permanent watermarks in admin options and placed the server path to the watermark image in the admin options?

If you do not have the png libraries installed for Imagemagick you may need to convert that watermark image to a gif.

Hi Omega,

Correct I have the permanent watermark options set to Yes, I am unsure if the png libraries are installed on my hosts server, I will convert the file to .gif and test that out. I will contact my Host to find out if the png libraries are installed.

Ill let you know what I find out.

Thanks
