Problem upgrading 4.7j > 4.82

i uploaded all files as noted, except config-inc.php and install.php. when i try to run upgrade.php, this is what i get:

Warning: main(config-inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/pbfans/photopost/upgrades/upgrade.php on line 15

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'config-inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/www/pbfans/photopost/upgrades/upgrade.php on line 15

my old config-inc.php is in my main photopost directory. and now my gallery doesn't work at all... any clues?

Per the upgrade instructions copy the upgrade47.php script to your main Photopost directory and run it

omegatron,

thank you. i misunderstood the instructions. i do have a couple more questions though..

i performed the upgrade as you said, and i got this:

Preparing to reorganize admin options...

ALTER TABLE Phpost_categories DROP INDEX lastphoto failed with error: Can't DROP 'lastphoto'. Check that column/key exists
ALTER TABLE Phpost_categories DROP INDEX thumbnail failed with error: Can't DROP 'thumbnail'. Check that column/key exists
ALTER TABLE Phpost_iponline DROP INDEX userid failed with error: Can't DROP 'userid'. Check that column/key exists
ALTER TABLE Phpost_photos DROP INDEX approved failed with error: Can't DROP 'approved'. Check that column/key exists
ALTER TABLE Phpost_photos DROP INDEX date failed with error: Can't DROP 'date'. Check that column/key exists

Done! You can now remove this file and check out your new Admin Options layout!

now when i go to my gallery, it 'sort of' shows up, but i get errors on the top right menu, and down the bottom where the thumbnails should be. these errors (from the user screen):

Warning: main(TMPL_PATHsearchbox.tmpl): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/pbfans/photopost/templates/indexhead.tmpl on line 15

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'TMPL_PATHsearchbox.tmpl' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/www/pbfans/photopost/templates/indexhead.tmpl on line 15

and

Warning: main(/home/www/pbfans/photopost/templates/indexstats.tmpl): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/pbfans/photopost/index.php on line 219

Warning: main(): Failed opening '/home/www/pbfans/photopost/templates/indexstats.tmpl' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/www/pbfans/photopost/index.php on line 219

i'm guessing these are related to the errors i got on the install.. now what? thanks in advance!

You have not uploaded all the files. You are trying to use old templates files with the new version of Photopost

Upload the new files and you will be fine.

omegatron,

ok, things are looking better, but still not 100%. a few things:

1.) first of all (and this is really weird), my gallery looks the way i want it to look in Mozilla Firefox, but not in Internet explorer. in FF, i have my old color scheme and background set up the way i did it in the last version, but in IE, the light blue style has taken over:

IE:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Firefox:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
2.) the 'last' columns are much wider now. is there a way to change that? these 2 columns are now wider than my 'category' column:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
3.) in the admin panel, both the 'edit stylesheet' and 'edit template' pages don't look right, and there's nothing to choose from. here:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

if needed, i can give you temporary admin access if you need to have a look around, but if you could lend a hand without it, that'd be great too. please let me know. thanks!

I view your photopost in either browser and I see a blue default stylesheet

I think you overwrote a stylesheet you modified

If other things do not look right then again make sure you uploaded the right files.

I would upload a new photopost minus these files

config-inc.php
header.htm
footer.htm
stylesheets/default.css

Make sure to upload the modified default stylesheet you had in 4.7

chuck,

ok, i'm almost all set.. i didn't have by old stylesheet backed up, so i had to create a new one. i almost have it looking the way i want it to (editing the default.css manually), but there are 2 stylesheet settings i need to change, but don't know how:

1 - use an image for the page (body) background.

2 - change the border color of the table in the showphoto.php screen, underneath the picture, which lists all the details (poster, views, rating, etc.)...

if you could let me know about those 2 things, i should be on my way..

thanks again for your help.
