renamed mysql database during vb upgrade and have config question

I recently upgraded our forums from vb 2.2.8 to 3.0.3. Because this is such a large database it did not properly install the first time without timeout errors and some human errors.

I reinstalled from my .sql backup and as advised by Steve M. at VB I did this to a NEW database, and this time everything went smoothly. Since I am running 3.1.1 pp (as far as I can tell) I need to upgrade photopost and apply the pp 3.0.3 vb patch - which I am ready to do after this question is answered.

The question:

I need to know what else I have to do to point and integrate into the new database other than pointing the header-inc and the config-inc to the new database. Sure dont want to mess this up it would have several hundred members pretty mad if they lost their pics. I have the forums down until I get this resolved.

Hello,

Assuming that you have copied all the PP tables to the "new" db, you should only need to make the changes you mentioned. You will then be able to apply the upgrades.

Just remember....ALWAYS BACKUP before upgrade!!
