PhotoPost 4.7J Upgrade to 4.8+

With this Upgrade to the newest version will I need to Reinstall all the files? I have not been able to get the upgrade to work. The only option I have is to run the install file after uploading all the files as explained in the .txt file. After I upload all the files and select to upgrade I get errors. I have been unable to get the upgrade to work. With the Version I have, will I have to install and not upgrade?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks

You need to upgrade the files meantioned in the changedfiles.txt from 4.7j to 4.8.2 and run the proper upgrade script.

With all the script and template changes it is best to upload everything except config and headers footers etc.

Chuck,

I did upload all the files except the headers/footers and config but when I go to upgrade I get an error on line 15 in the global.php file. I will download 4.8.2 again just to make sure I have a fresh copy. Ill post what happens whether good or bad. Thanks for the advice.

My Bad I think I was thinking of an Error I was getting with VB3 when I upgraded. I will do the upgrade and then let you know if i get any errors. It might not have been the Global.php I cant remember it could have been the congfig. I am going to test it out right now and see.

ok when I go to upgrade PhotoPost this is the error I get.

Warning: main(config-inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/flyfis3/public_html/PhotoPost/upgrades/upgrade.php on line 15

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'config-inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/flyfis3/public_html/PhotoPost/upgrades/upgrade.php on line 15

This line is the Version #. even if changed I get the same error.

Any ideas?

Run the upgrade from the PhotoPost main directory, not within upgrades.

Thanks for the info. I ran the upgrades needed within the Main Directory for PhotoPost and its now up and running. Sorry for the hassle I think I missed where it said to run it in the main directory in the instructions.

Thanks for all the help.
