Where can I change the direction that the comments under the pictures apeare from new to old comments?

You would need to edit the query itself. You can discuss code modifications at http://www.photopostdev.com

However note this is not a suggested thing to do changing the ordering of comments. Note that just like a forum thread some comments are reply's of some comments. They would look pretty mixed up being backwards.
