db integration?

installing pp fresh on a fresh vb install...I just read the docs on the vb integration module and it suggests installing photopost into the same db

is there a problem using a diff db? any recommendations/tips on going one way or the other since this is a fresh install

No no issues really.

If you plan to install the VB feature bar hack that is available over at photopostdev.com etc it just is easier to install such things when the products are in the same database as your dont have to keep selecting the databases.

Less overhead

What is the bar hack?

In looking at the vb3 integration module readme it looked like the only difference when you use a different DB is that you have to uncomment a line of code at the bottom.

"4) If you have PhotoPost and vB in different databases, you'll need to scroll to the bottom of the script and uncomment the mysql_select_db() command and insert your vB database name."

EXACTLY however some users have errors trying to select databases on some installs switching back and forth

We just as a general rule state its best to have the tables of any integrated programs in the same database so there is no select database back and forth
