Installation Problems

Hi,

I looked thru the Installation FAQ and did a search but could not find an answer to this question. I'm trying to install Photopost for the first time and, when I submit the screen where it asks what Vbulletin version, what authentication (internal, external,) etc. I get the following errors:

Quote:
Warning: main(d:\64.224.111.213\photopost\install.php/languages/english/pp-inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\64.224.111.213\photopost\pp-inc.php on line 63

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'd:\64.224.111.213\photopost\install.php/languages/english/pp-inc.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in D:\64.224.111.213\photopost\pp-inc.php on line 63
Running on Windows 2000 Server, PHP4.2.3, MYSQL Client API version 3.23.39, the server is a dedicated host under my control, the url to the photopost installation is http://georgiasportbike.com/photopost/install.php.

I'd appreciate any help anyone can provide. I've checked permissions, locations of files, etc. but cannot find what the issue is. Thanks in advance!!

OK - I figured this problem out: problems with the path. Now I'm getting the following error:

Quote:
Notice: Undefined variable: Globals in D:\64.224.111.213\photopost\forums\vb3.php on line 540

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: init_user_groups() in D:\64.224.111.213\photopost\install.php on line 623
Any suggestions?

Sounds like the pp-inc.php file isn't being included.

Try changing line 621ish in your install.php from

include "pp-inc.php";

to

include "{$PP_PATH}pp-inc.php";

I would upload fresh files personally making sure to upload everything except do not overwrite your config

Line 540 of VB3.php has not variable definition yet your server is saying their is an undefined variable

The function init_user_groups is in vb3.php and your not finding it

I would also try changing your path to this

D://64.224.111.213//photopost

just in case your server is not liking the path

Thanks!! That seems to have gotten me a step further. I did get a SQL error though. Apparently a table (photopost.usergroup) doesn't exist?? Don't know if this is a big issue at this point.

well this does matter. I would go back to the first step and check what database info you have told the program for the VB database. It looks like your telling it to look for VB in the photopost database.
