Photopost 4.8.1 and InvisionBoard 2.0

I just bought PP 4.8.1 and installed it right away. I already had an existing IPB 2.0 forum installed and up running and wanted to use this user-database for my PP-installation. After a little while I got the PP up running and I also could log in to the PP using the "admin" account.

However, I have no access to any adm-pages in PP. Do I need to set any permissions in the admin usergroup in IPB or have I missed something in the PP-installation?

Thanks in advance,

So your saying you installed Photopost as an internal install then you wanted to move to IBP 2.0? You post is a little confusing? Have you installed it to use IBP 2.0?

If you have installed Photopost as a internal and then are switching to IBP your usergroups tables will not match. You can use PHPMYADMIN and delete all entries from your photopost usergroup tables except administrators. Set that entry to have a groupid of 4 and make sure cpaccess is set to 1. If you had an internal install the administrators entry is 5 that is why you dont have access to admin. See what I mean

I am assuming you also already changed the settings table entry 41 to a setting of ib2 and changed setting 83 to any table prefix of ib2 and changed your config file database entry.

Sorry that I might sound a little confusing (well, I am).

No, when I installed PP I "told it" I already had IPB 2.0 up running and I set up the ipb_ table prefix and all that stuff.

Well, I havent checked the tables in any details as I couldnt figure out excatly how they work. I will however check groupid and those other things you mentioned.

Yep, those are checked OK.

I've installed PP here if the installation can give any more information:
http://www.fotoalbumet.no/pp

And InvisionPowerBoard 2.0 goes here:
http://www.fotoalbumet.no/forum

Keep in mind I'm working on the layout on the forum right now so its maybe a bit buggy.

And, thanks for your quick response omegatron! So far I'm glad I choose PP instead of Albinator.

Here is a little update:

I now deleted all pp_usergroups exept "admin". The "admin"-group had an groupid of 4 which tells me I installed PP correct? However, the cpaccess was set to 0 and when I changed it to 1 I got a menu in PP with an admin-link, upload-link and so on. BUT... but, when I click on that link now I get a login-prompt over and over again. Maybe thats a cookie-problem and I need to reload something here, but I've tried both in a clean Firefox browser-window and in my MyIE2-window a couple of times.

Yes thats cookies.

Try making sure your IBP has no cookie prefix.

Set IBP to this

cookie path /

cookie prefix BLANK

cookie domain .fotoalbumet.no

Set Photopost to this

cookie domain .fotoalbumet.no

cookie path to /

cookie prefix blank

Splendid! The config-inc had the following setting:

$cookieprefix="ibf_";

Setting that variable blank did the trick.

Thanks alot!
