Hello? it seems very inactive here?

I need help in intergrating the vb3 templates with my photopost! is there anyone out there or can help me?

I can pay for the templates!

I bought the license! and have yet to get a reply from support staff about my request! not happy

Very Inactive? You've got to be kidding, look at the number of threads the have been active in the past day or two AND ITS THE WEEKEND!

pay for what templates? intergrate your vb3 templates into photopost?

simple I want to make my phhotopost gallery look like its part of the forum, just like this one when you go to http://www.photopost.com/photopost/index.php

its the weekend? right? it doesnt mean people stop working! I made a post previously but have had no reply!

Actually you do not have a license, as you are trying to use a license from someone else who purchased the script. This has already been explained to you in email.

What you want is a mod to vB (not a mod to PP) and is covered on PhotoPostDev; however you will need to resolve your license issue first.

no! I paid the person so the license is assumed mine, I only found out after I had bought it from him, that its not allowed! vbulletin etc allow you to trasnsfer the license!

So you are saying if I buy a license, and at a later date dont want to use it, I cant sell it!

How would you feel, if you bought a car and the terms said, you cant resell it!!!? or a tv etc this is the same thing!

I dont know the laws in the USA, but I have the right to resell any item I own! It doesnt matter where I buy it from!

Not so. It's a popular "try-on" but illegal in the UK.

Unfair Contract Terms Act 1999 prohibits the "exclusion of consumers right to assign" (or sell on). See OFT guidance notes section 18 Group D.

"Terms which seek to restrict that right are subject to scrutiny by the office of fair trading."

Even airline tickets are transferable - you may have to pay a fee to change the name though.

This is especially the case for items of lasting value eg indefinite licenses for software.

What if PP cost £1 million, you are saying that you have no right to sell your assets? Of course you do, whether is $100 or any amount.

The OFT lists many examples of "non-transferable" contracts which were ruled invalid. This includes guarentees as well.

As explained above, in the UK, any contract term restricting re-sale is "unfair" and therefore invalid.

IMHO you can sell your PP license if you are a UK resident (and for any reason, at any time).

1) vBulletin (Jelsoft) is headquartered in the UK. We are based in the United States.

2) The person that tried to transfer their license to you agreed to the terms of our license agreement before they purchased their license.

3) We are a private company and we can dictate to whom we want to license our product and the terms under which our license is or is not transferrable. Our license is non-transferrable. This is for several very good reasons relating to piracy and upholding the value of our product, and is not in any way intended to inconvenience our customers.

4) We do not recognize your license to be valid and suggest you contact the "seller" to obtain a refund.

While buyer beware certainly plays a part here (as stated, the terms are in the license agreement) I do feel there should be a transfer option of some sort even if it includes an "administration fee" or reduced rate for existing installations. When the day comes that I sell off my site, all content and software will be transferred to the new owner but whoops, you will have to go buy photopost again to run the existing gallery section whether or not you want to download updates and/or receive support or not. Perhaps you could revisit this issue as I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking so.

When someone sells their entire website to another party, we consider allowing the transfer of the PhotoPost license on a case by case basis. But we don't allow people to just sell off their PhotoPost license in and of itself.
