GD2 & GIF

I'm using GD2 and I noticed that when I tried to upload a gif file it caused a problem. I had to go to the uploads folder and delete the gif file before anybody else could upload any other picture.

How to you support .gif with GD2 or what are my alternatives so that I can support .gif? Is it because of the licensing issues that it's not supported?

GD does not support gif images. You will need to use ImageMagick or install ImageMagick if you do not have it installed

Omegatron - thx. again for your help. Can you use GD2 and ImageMagick together in Photopost? What would you recommend?

No, you cannot. Only one or the other can be used.

Most folks seem to prefer ImageMagick.
