Photopost and Vb on different domains

Is there any known problems to have PhotoPost and vBulletin3 on different domains? Both domains is on the same server so access the database is no problem.

The user statistics seems to be OK in PhotoPost but after returning from login I am still not logged in and thus no admin options available. But cookies bbuser etc is set.

Well you will not be cookied between installs no matter what you do since the domains are different Users will need to login to each product

Your admin issue is easy as there are many threads here on this. View your usergroups table and set your administrators entry making sure the groupid is 6 and cpaccess is 1.

Thanks,

I had to set the flags fro admin group and change cookie prefix to bb.

Now I have another problem. When test uploading photos the override for approve/moderation dont work. The thumbs are created and works fine but the med and high res pic shows up as a corrupted picture. I use search engine friendly option.

If I access the picture direct from data/2/...jpg in IE it will show up perfectly.
Any clue why?

Just a hint to others, if you want watermark you must use GD2 instead of Image Magick.

JHEAD works fine, no autorotation, maybe a suggestion for future releases since the EXIF info can tell that.

For the record you can use ImageMagick for watermarking just fine so your point is incorrect. GD works with watermarks on the fly which is not really a watermark but really an overlay.

what are you expecting to do?

I use the watermark function, now I tested with both GD2 and Image Magick.

Only one problem, the med-res pics get watermark twice on the picture while the thumb and hi-res look OK. Hi-res pics may not be required so this is no big deal.

Do you developers recommend Image Magick or GD2 as first choice?

well you if your using the watermark.php file you do not turn watermarking on in the admin options. Also if you had previous pictures that were watermarked permenantly and you turn on on the fly watermarks they will be watermarked twice

You need to do one or the other

I prefer ImageMagick since it supports many more image types than GD however if you are dead set on using watermarks on the fly you need to use GD and also realize you can not use gif images with GD
