scan database for duplicates I couldn't find a general area in the members section, so this is the most general area I could figure to put it. Please feel free to relocate this, where you see fit. I'm wondering how the scan database for duplicates works? What does it screen for? I've got about 5,000 plus files, and I know there are some duplicates. I've also read posts of people having problems with it deleting both pictures, different pictures with the same name, etc. If you could just outline, briefly, what the feature uses to determine duplicates, that would be greatly appreciated! filesize, name, dimensions,.. - is it possible to have it look at all three of those before deciding to remove one? And which one does it choose to delete, the most recent? If adding that is not possible, does it show thumbnails of what it's going to delete - if it does not, is it possible to add the abillity to screen the selections it's made prior to allowsing the deletion process? Thanks - |

It's looking for two filenames that match by the same user; something that shouldn't happen except in rare cases. |
