integration woes

I've searched and read all the threads about cookies, but cannot for the life of me get it to work for me.

I believe I've tried everything that was suggested.

using "bb" as cookie prefix and ".domain.com" as cookie domain.

whats really strange is that when I login to the board and go to the gallery its as if im logged into the gallery as admin (can see admin link), but not really. I can see thumbnails, but cant click any of the images or it asks me to register. Plus I can upload freely to the gallery.

any ideas

thanks

I set mine to
ON Photopost

Quote:
Forum Cookie Prefix (if used, otherwise leave blank) --- bb

VB3 License Number (if using VB3 integration, you must enter your license number here) ----- entered my number

Cookie Path - This should be set to match the path for your cookies (recommend "/" for sitewide access). If your BB system has a different setting, then you need to put that path here as well.------- : /

Cookie Domain - This should be set to match the domain for your cookies (recommend ".domain.com" for sitewide access - change domain to the name of your domain).-----------------: .mydomain.com
BUT on VBulletin I have slightly different settings

In Vb options> Cookies and HttP settings

Quote:
Path to Save Cookies is set at------: /

but i left Cookie Domain BLANK
don't know if these are right or not but its working anyhow

Some domains you can leave it empty in both.

I guess what point I am making is everything needs to match

I have tried both pp, vbb, rp, and classifieds in the following config.

the vbb license is correct for all.

cookie prefix is "bb"
cookie path is "/"
cookie domain".mydomain.com"

that didnt work, so i have taken the prefixes out of all and tried the domain as empty. none of the configs where everythign is set the same works.

what now ?

look in your vb's \include\config.php file.

At the bottom of that file is the cookie prefix. Make sure they match

Also make sure your Vb license number is entered in the Photopost config. Your cookies will never match if you do not do this also. The reason being is the VB license number is part of the encrypted password cookie.

Ok, I figured it out. I knew it was some small error on my part, I just couldnt see it.

I was using my vbb customer # and not my license #. DOH !

Everything runs perfectly now.

Thanks guys !
