odd errors with php / windows 2000

I have been using photopost for about 6-8 months. worked perfectly. last night I was having errors on my site, phpbb would not work, photopost would not, I found I was getting tons of php errors on the computer (windows 2000 w/ php 4.3.3.3 running in fast cgi mode, on IIS. so I play with php, reload it, and it seemed to work better, my forums and other software works, but photo post is what was causing the error messages, now when I goto the photo post dir on the server (in IE / Firefox) nothing comes up, but on the console of the server I get

"Application popup: php.exe - Application Error : The exception unknown software exception (0xc00000fd) occurred in the application at location 0x77fcc114."

Only photopost causes that to come up. I have no clue what the problem is, I am lost, I switched to plain cgi, and it does the same thing, I am running the newest ver of PP, and did not change anything in the past few weeks. I re uploaded the files for PP incase the might have gotten corrupt, but still a no go. does anyone have any good ideas? thanks!!

Dan

What did you do to the server as far as upgrades anything lately? Still to me looks like php is goofed up.

I have installed Photopost on many versions of PHP running in CGI mode on IIS servers with no issues. What we need to do is understand what has happened on that particular server lately to cause this error.

thats what is odd, Nothing has changed in the past few weeks. I did a fresh install of php, still no go. I am not sure what else to try. I assume pp must use php differently / other extentions that phpbb does not use, as phpbb is still working. how do you turn on loging in php maybe I can get some sort of error log so I know where to look.

You should be able to look right in your server error logs

okay well that would not cause the program to go down

you can remove this from the top of index.php and see what happens

if ( is_numeric($argv[0]) ) {
header("Location: {$Globals['maindir']}/showphoto.php?photo={$argv[0]}");
exit;
}

I have been trying all sorts of things, with out any luck. I setup a test database, and put a fresh copy of pp in a new folder, and was able to install it without any issues. however I cannot get my 2000+ picture database back up. I have reloaded php, made sure the .ini isn't messed up. Now I don't get the odd memory errors, but the page will not load, I only get " CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:" when I try to load the web page any ideas? where else can I look? Thanks for any ideas

So... you can get a fresh virgin copy of PP to run, but not your old one?

Any integration here, or are you running stand alone.

Any fancy header code?

Have you reuploaded fresh unmodified PP source code?

Yeah, I tried a fresh copy, I just got it fixed. I am shocked, it must have been a messed up database? I did not know that could cause php memory errors / screw up my server so much. I just restored a slightly older copy of the photopost databse and its runining.
