Missing Member info???

This is about the strangest thing that I've seen yet! lol If you look here, you'll se the first member in the Member's list has upwards of 100 actual uploads and comments, but his/her postbit information seems to have vanished somehow.

I have ran repairs on the database using Cpanel, and scanned/rebuilt just about everything via the PF admin panel, but nothing is correcting this.

Has anybody else encountered this?

Very easy to explain.

If you delete any users from your board and they have photo uploads they are no orphaned owned by nobody. This is exactly what this is on your board as well.

Okays...that makes sense and is what I first suspected, but I was thrown off by a couple of dates as I was just looking at that Member's Gallery display which shows the date of Sun Jul 11, 2004 9:47am, directly under that thumbnail in the Last Photo Upload column, and since I authorize any user changes of that sort, I know that none have been dropped over the past few days. hehe

However, when I click on the photo itself, it shows Date: Mon Dec 1, 2003, and it is highly probable that this user fell off when we purged inactive users since then..

Two questions now....

Am I reading that 'Last Photo Upload' display incorrectly in the Member's area? And would it be possible to have PF change the username to 'Guest' in the same fashion that VB does, or does each username need to be unique?

I think it is using the default sort code most active which is last comment date

You can assign Photos to another user as this would be the only way. Remember the userid that these photos belong to is no longer in the forum so when you click resync usernames comments etc in admin panel the photo usernames are going to be empty

The only way would be to create a new user in VB called whichever you want and assign all the photos to them.

I have 800 photos with a blank username. I fI use this method, is there anyway to assign the photos with the blank username to a new user I created in bulk? I would hate to have to do this manually 800 times.

There would be no bulk way unless your wrote a script to do this. Currently the change ownership function is only built into the editphoto function when editing a photo
