"Moderate Comments" not showing comments

I have "notify admin of new comments" turned on and now instead of letting me check the "moderate comments" in the admin panel and approve them, it's sending me an email from each one. (Moderate comments section constantly shows "no new comments.")

How do I change this back to the way it was? I do not require that comments be approved before posting, but I DO want an easy way of seeing what's going on and this email thing is not very time-efficient.

Change the moderation flag in the usergroups so that only those usergroups you want to moderate are enabled. Notify admin of new comments does exactly what it says it will - notifies you of new comments.

So how do I get the new comments to list in the admin control panel without enabling "moderate comments?" I don't want to check emails and click on each photo to see the new comment ... Sorry I think i am having trouble explaining this

I believe the comments show up in the Approve Comments even when moderation is turned off - the email is not necessary unless you want one for every posting.

The moderate comments then posts any comments which have not been actually approved (even though they may be being displayed with the "display unapproved comments" set to YES).
