Problem with install.php file in 48d version

I tried to do an fresh installation with 78d version of photopost.
This is error message I got ...

"Warning: fopen(config-inc.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/viet75/public_html/photos/install.php on line 131
Warning: fopen(config-inc.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/viet75/public_html/photos/install.php on line 134
We are unable to open the config-inc.php file for writing (nor can we change the permissions.
Please make the config-inc.php writable so we can save your information and restart your install."

I then changed the permission of install.php file to 777 to correct this but
still get the same error. Am I missing something here?

You need to change the permission of config-inc.php to 666 like it is telling you in the message

Derrick you may need to get your host to help out here. Maybe you dont have chmod access. I dont see why you can not chmod the files but you can not continue till that file is writable. On some windows servers the chmod must be done through the control panel not ftp

Red face Log-in problem with 48d: still has not been able to login

We're using phpBB users' database
We finally got the 460 to 48d upgrade to work but now we're having the log-in problem (again)! I know there were several postings out there regarding cookie issues not setting up correctly could cause photopost 48d not to be able to recognize the users' list fr phpBB ... but we seems not to be able to figure out what going on here ...
We've checked carefully cookies' settings in both phpBB & config.php file in photopost 48d! Everything seems correct, but everytime we log in, it say log-in sucessfull but stop us to view the image (including log-in w/ admin permission) ... looks like photopost is talking with phpBB (when we tried to register, it brought up the phpBB registration form & confirmed registration sucessfull) & it did show exact # of registered users but can't recognize any of the user from the database at all!
I tried to duplicate the issue by installing a fresh & seperate phpBB forum w/ list of test users & connect the photopost to that users' list! Same thing happen, please help ...

Thanks,

Derrick indeed this is a cookie issue if the integration is pointing to phpbb

is your cookie prefix set to phpbb2mysql? that is the default cookie prefix

Are the domains the same?

Thanks for the tip I think we've found the problem ... With the older version of Photopost, it allowed us to set the domain cookie to oursite.com while both phpBB & photolib locating on oursite.org & still working But this is not case with the photopost 4.6 or newer version

One more thing, we are unable to access to our admin panel of photopost 48d! I tried to log-in & it said sucessfull but lead us to home page ... Are we missing somethings, thanks!!!!

Derrick again COOKIE settings

Try both set to .domain.com and the path set to /

Then as instructed above also the photopost cookie prefix set to phpbb2mysql

I tried to set the them to .domain.com but it prevent me to log in totally (come back to the old issue with cookie issue)!
The .domain.org setting allows me to log in (with the admin permission) but not to admin control panel! We checked cookie prefix, both were set correctly to phpbb2mysql ..
Thanks,

.domain.com .domain.org same thing you need to intended suggestion and append your own internet ending as that would change by area of the globe or type

Okay in phpmyadmin view your usergroups table for Photopost and make sure it has an entry for administrators with a groupid of 2 and cpaccess of 1
