Change of User db - DCF+ to vB3

hello,

I've changed my forum asside to photopost from DCF+ to vB3.

Infact the usernames etc. are still the same as before as vB3 has imported all users and the other stuff correct.

Now the uploaded pictures on the old DCF+ database are not shown the userinformation any more. Only on fresh uploads with the new vB3 database are showing the usernames.

How is that to fix?

Just like with the phpbb2 to vb3 importer you sure all user information is the same? Are the usernumbers the same? VB has a habit of renumbering all usersid's on import. If they are indeed the same you can use the photopost admin option to resync username etc in scan database. Take note though that if a the userid's are indeed different photopost will assign the username to the photos's of the userid of the photo which now may be different.

you're right the user ID's have marginal changed

first the nummdering in dcf was e.g. 100002 and in vB3 it's 2.
Also due to the existenz of standard users the numbering is changed.
if the user had 100002 he has now 5; that means all ID's in vB3 have now the new format and +3

any idea how to fix that?

EDIT: I've seen, vb3 is storing the imported user ID in the user db. Does this help?

Nope there is no way to change thingslike this. We have nothing to do with how different forums interact with each other. We only integrate with specific forums. If you switch forum types there is work you need to do to reassign pics. The only thing you can do is with Photopost 4.8 assign the pictures to the new user feature which in your case would be the old user but with his new vb3 userid. This obviously will take you awhile if you have a big gallery.
