Upgrade from GMS to PP

Got a new job which has taken all my time for the past half year, so I am a little behind with the latest developments here. I have two GMS, one on each of two sites. I am also looking to have a photo gallery on another one of my sites.

Qustion: Is there still an upgrade path for GMS?

And if so what is the upgrade cost?

Don't quote me as sales obviously has the proper rates but I beleive the upgrade price to go from GMS license to full Photopost License is 40.00

Thanks for the reply. I have e-mailed sales. Hope it is still $40.00, as I will go for it.

Wow, this is an old subject....

Well, here is the upgradegms.php and upgradegms.sql files you'll need to get started. You'll want to follow the instructions of the attached GMS-TO-PRO.txt file which will take you to the PhotoPost 4.5 release.

Once you get there, then you'll need to run upgrade.php and run through the upgrades from PhotoPost 4.5 to current.

It's alot of upgrading as GMS is very old, so make sure to make a backup of your database and your data directory just in case you have to go back and start over.

Another option would be to pay for the upgrade service and let Chuck do it for you, I suspect he has done more than a few of these.

Yep I have done a few. The only issue here though is to Upgrade to Photopost you would need to purchase a Photopost Pro license. We did offer a long time ago a reduced price to upgrade to PhotoPost to all GMS when we discontinued the product but that was 2 years ago. The only option one has now is to purchase a full PhotoPost License.
