Installation Error

When I run the install.php script this is what I get.

Parse error: parse error in photopost/adm-cfgedit.php on line 231

I checked all the permissions & everything looks good.

Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this?

Thanks.

What is line 231 of that file for you?

Mine is

</td>

nothing to have a parse error over.

Yep, that is what I have as well. I figured this error would be caused from something around line 231 & not 231 itself.

Do you have any idea what may be going on?

Not really especially when I have used the install to install this one site yesterday and today with no issues. There is no parse error anywhere in that file that I see.

I would delete the files since its a brand new install and redownload the zip and try again.

Still not working

I just redownloaded the zip file, unzipped it & loaded it (yes, I checked permissions), now I get the following error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /hsphere/local/home/westcoas/myfishingpics.com/photopost/adm-cfgedit.php on line 231

I looked around in the source & saw nothing that stood out to me as being a problem.

Thanks for the help.

Try rechecking all permissions on the config file etc. I could look at that file all day and still see nothing out of place. I have done many installs of Photopost and never have seen this error come up.

unexpected $ is usually indicative of a run on. I just looked at the whole file, and I see nothing wrong. Perhaps something is getting scrambled during your upload?

Got it to work

It seems that the problem was the way I was unzipping the download.

The first time I tried it I used WinZip which never even had the sub directories then the second time I used ZipIt on OS9 & although all the files seemed to be there was still a problem. Today I used OSX ZipIt & it seemed to work fine. Now I just have to set all the variables.

Thanks for the help guys.
