| login problems with phpbb2
Youch, l don't have a clue what l could be doing wrong, but l have installed photopost as integrated with phpbb2. l am able to log in as the admin just fine, and can do everything, however no-one can register for my gallery. When they click the 'register' button they are directed to the forum registration, (wow, got that bit right...LOL) however there are a few problems:
1. Forum registration is successful, however user cannot log in to gallery with the same details - says 'invalid login please try again or register'
2. l have a 'normal user' forum account, but gallery will not recognise it...l get the same message as above.
Where do l start looking!!! l really need to fix this fast!
ps. site is at www.scrapbookingtop50.com.au

Can you login with your admin account under Photopost?
Things to check here-- cookie settings need to match
forum
cookie path /
cookie domain .domain.com
photopost
cookie path /
cookie domain .domain.com
cookie prefix phpbb2mysql
Also if in the admin section under edit usergroups what do you see how many groups?

Hi omegatron, yes, l can log in as the gallery admin fine, however l didn't register through the forums, l did it through the installation. l doubt very much if my forum would recognise my gallery details, and my gallery definitely doesn't recognise my forum log in (different details for the forum as l installed it first and didn't know l would be able to integrate) |

You did an internal install. So how do you expect to integrate with the forum unless you set it to an integrated one?
I would rerun install and choose the correct type of install

l am sure l did that tonight already, (the shared install) as l have reinstalled several times testing all the options. My forum was installed first, but l did fill out all the details for a shared installation when l reloaded the gallery tonight, so l figured it would/should work? l will check the cookies settings as posted above - thanks |

You should recheck everything. In phpmyadmin in your photopost settings table what does option 41 has as the setting?

Also if in the admin section under edit usergroups what do you see how many groups? | ok, l just went and checked all the cookie settings, and yes, there were a few fields empty and/or wrong. l filled out all the relevant bits, then checked the usergroups, there are 3 groups, admin, anon and registered, all the permissions look fine to me.
l then tried to register through the gallery, but the same thing is still happening. *#$@^&%$!!!!!!
l am sure it is something tiny, l will go check it all again

Nope
When you click on the register button in photopost does it take you to the phpbb register page? If not then you have your forum path not set in the admin options

Hello
4.8 has been out for a while.
I would upgrade and recheck everything
Next you seem to have incorrectly applied header html somewhere it is not suppose to be. You can place header html in the header.htm file and link it in the admin section. There should not be a need to append it to a template
Next your cookies are indeed not correct as I registered a username and was not automatically logged in.
