users can't upload

many of my users cannot upload to my gallery. it seems to time out, and all they get is the header of the layout, and nothing else shows. and the images are never uploaded. what could be the problem?

Might be that your PHP is configed to timeout before their uploads can complete. Do you know what your PHP executing time limit is (as set in you PHP.INI)?

well there were a few instances in the .ini that referred to timeout....one for mysql, one for pfpro....i se tthem to 180 seconds.

also i looked in the photopost uplaod dir, and it looks like some of the images were uploaded, but never made it to display on the actual gallery (although they are sitting in the ftp dir)

You have as of yet to post any error other than a timeout issue which is server related and not software related.

I will go register a username and try uploading

OKay If I upload two files totalling approx 800K I am fine everything uploads

http://www.bauhaussoftware.com/photo....php?photo=215

http://www.bauhaussoftware.com/photo....php?photo=216

Now I tried to upload 5 700K images and I am on a cable line. The script timed out.

There is no wonder it did

You have tried to max out everything in Photopost but have not adjusted your php at all.

You have maximum upload set to 3000000k file size limit in Photopost which is about 2949MB? You are allowing 5 uploads at a time also with this way abnormal file size allowed.

However your php is set as follows.

max_execution_time 30

upload_max_filesize 2M

This means any script will timeout after 30 seconds. This also means the max you can upload is 2M not 2949M. In fact I doubt you even have 2949M on your hosting account.

well i changed the max filesize in photopost and php setting for 3m, and php max execution time to 50. i also set the bulk upload amount to 3 instead of 5

ive been having a user try to upload a small image (around 750k) and he still gets the same result, as well as a few other users.
