ecard/slideshow/unregistered user glitches

Hello, hoping someone can help me iron out a few glitches - perhaps they are all related!

The majority of my photopost installation works just fine, struggled a little to tie it in with VB3 but resolved most things - although my gallery now resides in the same level as my forums (domain.com/forums/gallery) and had to use absolute urls to get headers and uploading images working. Perhaps these are causing my following probs

1. when sending an ecard you get to choose font colours/border colours etc... by clicking the radio buttons - my problem is no colours are showing above the radio buttons so until you click a button and preview you don't know what colour you've choosen. Everything else works lovely - did I do something barmy?

2. my slideshows wont work - I've read lots in here about this and tried to turn off my headers so they don't display - however despite telling it not to display header in slideshow in my admin options the header is still showing.

To get my header to work in the first place I had to add absolute URLs into my vb templates - could this be the problem?

3. My category and usegroup settings have been set so unregistered members can not upload - however occassionally I upload an image (appearing to be logged in) and it puts it in a new gallery called "unregistered" - is this my cookies again? I am not being kicked out when moving from forum to gallery and set my cookie stuff up as per the vb3 sticky (methinks!) - have I missed something obvious?

And lastly - in VB3 I spent forever setting up my default stylesheets - can I tell PP to use my VB stylesheet instead of the PP default stylesheet? Or should I continue messing with PP default stylesheet?

Thank you!! Any help greatly appreciated

I've resolved the logging out issue but no joy with the others

can anyone please give me a pointer as to where I've gone wrong please?

colours aren't showing in the ecards pick font/border etc..

headers still show on slideshow even if I tell them not to in admin options - consequently slideshow wont work - have tried the fix with amend js in vb header but no joy

How about a url to your install and a test account to login with?

have pm'd login details if thats ok

slideshows are now working - seems I had 4.7j although I downloaded v8 from members area.

upgraded to v8 last night - now only getting the following problems

colour pickers not showing for ecards

links in gallery not finding correct pathways eg staying in galleries folder instead of moving to forums folder - consequently log in from navbar isn't working nor are links to sendmessage etc... I think I have an incorrect pathway but lost as to where to look

Many thanks for your help, seems the more you mess about the worse it gets

Well there is no logical reason why your install is not showing the colors in the ecard window

If you view the source of your page the colors are there

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Now as far as your links being bad their are tons of threads here on the support forum about that. This is a VB issue not a photopost one. VB uses relative url's. You need to correct the relative url's and put a full url there.

I thought php was pure logic - well I'm a bit stumped I would like it working so people can colour pick rather than lucky dip

back to trying to sort it out all alone then

well your links are an easy fix as I noted

The color thing has got me stumped though as if you view your page source as I noted they are there.

Maybe someone else will jump in here but thats simple html really as far as the td tags with a bgcolor statement not PHP

thanks anyway omegatron - I know how to do the links, just hadn't picked up the ones from the navbar template although had done all the others to view images, header_inc etc...

I'm onto long shots now lol I had an old ecard system on the server which I deleted in case the other ecard.php was causing a conflict - also uploaded again from wsftp in case dreamweaver had done something stupid as usual but still no joy.

The colours are showing on the ecards themselves and I can see them in the source code too so this has really puzzled me. Had the problem with 4.7 and 4.8

If I solve it I'll let you know

thank you!

Yes the puzzling part is the fact they are in the soure HTML of the page which means they should show

resolved!

have finally resovled this - I hadn't set the chmod on all of my templates - added 775 to ecard_right and colours now showing

in fact the whole thing is now working beautifully and has integrated with my VB3 forum very nicely (other than header showing during slideshow despite option turned to off - but not a biggie)

Thank you to everyone at photopost - I think its superb, although it does take a bit of work (for us novices) to get all the customisations us difficult customers want but hey - learnt a lot on the way!

Thank you
