Question V4.8 with UBBthreads, changing the header

Hi,

I just upgrade from 4.7i to V4.8. I run UBBthreads V6.4.2
Upgrade works well without problems. Good work.

With V4.7i I use some modification from Omegatron to display the thread header in Photopost. Now the whole templete system is changed. Actuall I got the Photopost header without my thread navigation menu. How Do I bring back the thread Nav menu as header for Photopost ?

Create a seperate file with the contents of your threads header, and use the "Path to header file" option in the admin control panel.

Or Chuck can chime in since he used to use UBB

I have a solution. I crate a static html file to be an include in PP. I view the sourcecode of a generated page of my board, take the code, save them as header.htm and put in the right place.

Take care of Administration links and remove them. Looks perfect.

The same can be done to the footer.

You need to create a navbar and place it after your header and surround the important stuff like login links admin links etc with the proper Photopost variables to show it correctly.

To see whether someone is logged in something like this

if ( $User['userid'] > 0 ) {

logout link

} else {

login link

}

Just an Example

and how can this be done ? the header include is a htm, not a php file. It would be nice to have an ready example file based on the generic navbar from stock ubbt V6.4.x

What I am stating is that you need to look at your ubbthreads navbar templates and mock up one using the global quotes above based on showing what you want I have posted instructions on Threadsdev but here is a simple table structure showing how to add a navbar in photopost like a threads navbar. You would rename your photopost header to a php file and then make it something like below

I have replaced my custom table graphics tables with one table command to make it easier for you to follow but the entries below make a navbar much like you see on my site except of course I have removed the graphics and replaced it with the normal tbopen set.
