Local upload error??

I get this error when I attempt to upload photos to my 2 photopost sites. I am obviously the only one getting these errors because photos are being uploaded daily by the TONS, and I haven't gotten any emails regarding errors. Keep in mind that my account is set to 'administrator' on both sites. I am using 4.6.6:

Warning: Unable to create '/home/louisian/public_html/galleries/uploads/1/DSC03728.JPG': Permission denied in /home/louisian/public_html/galleries/image-inc.php on line 34

Warning: Unable to move '/tmp/phpp1SOha' to '/home/louisian/public_html/galleries/uploads/1/DSC03728.JPG' in /home/louisian/public_html/galleries/image-inc.php on line 34

Any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance.

Set the permissions properly on the uploads, data, and their sub directories. They should be set to 0777

:bump:

Does anyone have an explanation to this problem? Again, i've verified that i'm the only account that is having trouble uploading pictures.

As Don has posted you need to set your uploads and data directories as well as subdirectories under them to 777

Looks to me like your uploads/1 directory is not 777

You change/view them when you FTP into your site.

Using an FTP client and the connection information to your site only which you or your host would know

Mogrify is not located at /usr/local/bin

try SSH into your server and using locate or find command to locate mogrify. You may need to contact your host if you do not have access

some normal paths are

/usr/local/bin/mogrify

/usr/bin/mogrify

/usr/X11R6/bin/mogrify

I get the same error and I have verified that my upload and data directories, along with the 1, 500, and 501 subdirectories, have been CHMOD'd to 777

Sorry. I only verified the 1, 500, and 501 subdirectories under the data directory. I forgot the upload directory has a 1 subdirectory. Working fine now.
