VB2 header integratoin photopost 4.7

Hello

I recently upgraded to photopost 4.7. I am using VB 2.3 and I was using the VB header integration. Now, however, when I eding the header-inc.php with the proper path to my forum and uncomment out the lines for the vb2 code whenever I go to photopost my web browser either wants me download the index.php or it displays a bunch of garbage. If I uncomment out all of the lines in the header-inc.php under //--> start VB2 code it works fine, but obviously without the header. This worked fine prior to the upgrade.

I've no clue as to what is going on. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do your have gzip compression set to YES in both the forum and Photopost?

If yes then turn off the gzip compression in photopost config.

You can not compress a page twice

Do you have compression enabled in both vb and pp? If so, disable compression in pp.

I just purchased photopost, haven't installed it yet, and while browsing this board for potential issues I may face during installation with vb 2.35 I noticed all these threads about header compression issues.

Much of what I read talks about turning off GZIP compression in vb, which for me is not an option as we serve an average of 500,000 pages a day on our board. WE NEED THAT COMPRESSION to save bandwidth.

Is it possible just to turn off the compression in PP and leave the vB compression enabled? Will the headers in PP still be compressed (as apparently they are already compressed by vB)? Is this what all these threads mean?

Has this header issue been resolved with PP482?

This is a normal known issue I think whenever using another programs header over another program and not an error. You can not double compress the page

Yes you can turn off compression in Photopost as you can not compress a page twice which is what will happen if you try turning it on in Photopost when you already have it enabled in VB and use there header
