Email not working for comments posted

Hi:

I am running PP 331 and PHPbb 2.0.5 and recently upgraded to a new server for my client. Now we are having some problems with the email notification. If someone posts comments to someone's photo post entry, no email is sent to notify them of the comment. Any thoughts as to why this may be happening? I know the PHPbb emails are working fine for notifications. Just seems to be related to Photo Post only.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Are other emails sent from PhotoPost or is it just this one email that seems to have problems?

I would suspect all emails are not functioning. Contact your host, I bet they have smtp authentication enabled and required and thus are blocking the mail() function from doing it's job.

Having this same issue with PP4.8.2 forums PHPBB2.0.10

Before this upgrade users were able to receive notifications of comments in the photo gallery. Now, they do not. Emails from the forums are able to be received, but the ones from PP are not.

Please tell me what is wrong. Was the SMTP authentication a new change?

Okay, IF you select enable gallery or individually go to a particular photo AFTER it has been uploaded, the members DO receive their email notifications, HOWEVER, if they check mark the box to enable notifications during the upload process, they do not receive the notifications. Additionally, previous notifications for uploaded photos are not sending out notifications since the upgrade. PLEASE would someone help me to resolve this issue.

Are they getting any mysql errors on photo upload as this may be related to a notify bug

Try uploading a photo and checking notify to yes and hit submit do you get an error?

I'm getting the same issue here - was working fine previously, now not working. Same as above - if I post an image, and check the box to email me when someone comments, no dice.

If I visit the already-approved image and click the link for 'Recieve Email Updates' then I get emails from PP whenever someone posts a comment.

I'm using Vbulletin3 and PP 4.8.2. I don't see this as an update on the 4.85 or .86 updates, but I may have missed something.

Any ideas?

Follow-up: I re-read the postings above and yes, there is an SQL error on posting:
