PLEASE help. absolutely have to pull vbulletin and photopost apart

have a client who started 6-7 years ago with the two integrated. the forum has been stagnant for years, and the client just told me to pull it. he wants it gone from the site (doesnt help that its ancient)

there doesnt seem to be an EASY way to break the two apart.. so im going to have to do it the hard way. can anyone offer any help at all? i really dont want to lose photopost... but if i cant get it quick, i will toss it and just import to something else.

is it possible to reinstall photopost without losing images?

You are right there is no easy way as you would need to create a custom import script to import all those users.

You can theoretically if you did not want to import all the users clear the usergroups and users tables in your photopost database and do a reinstall as a standalone. You would then issue a query to update the userid and username to the new admin user you made when doing the userid.

That would preserve photos. You would probally want to dump the comments also since those users do not exist.

The only sure fire way to really be clean about things would be to write a custom import script to import the vbulletin users into the photopost users table.

We do not custom work on an as requested basis for an hourly fee. It is not cheap but it is not super expensive either.
