Link Hover Color Not Changing

I have two licenses and two websites using PhotoPost. One is working perfectly and one has a glitch so I assume the problem is with the installation or a conflict but I can't figure it out!

Using CSS we can set the color of the text in links to change when we mouse over them. On my gallery none of the the links change color in the PhotoPost part of the display except the PhotopPost footer/Copyright. All of the links in my custom header and footer work properly and that is what my gallery should match. They should change to a green color. It does not matter which style I select, this happens with my custom style or any of the stock styles. I have eliminated possible conflicts with my main site's stylesheet. I have reloaded all of the PhotoPost files but still no change.

Any ideas? I am stumped!

You would have to check your custom style. As long as your doing the proper css things would work fine. Take note body links may not work in other css places other than the body if thats what your expecting.

My suggestion would be to put a hover statement under the tableborders class like so

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Okay, that suggestion corrected the issue (thank you) and the links now turn green. I used the following:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

BUT - I mentioned my other website, using the same version of PPP does not have the glitch and the CSS file was similar to the other before I added the code. On both galleries I started with the stock silver.css file. The only other change I made was to the showphoto.tpml file but that wasn't the problem. Anyhow, all is well for now but I wish I could tell why this behavior was happening and across all browswer too!

Thank you again. Happy Customer.

This is not an issue in any sense of the word. Your trying to compare PhotoPost 8 to PhotoPost 5.5 if I read your signature right.

Changing css link colors work as long as you do in the right place. Trying to compare old CSS 2 to the newer CSS 3 where styles are specified for very specific things just means you need to change things in the proper place. Like I said just changing a body hover link and expecting it to work everywhere is not valid with how things work.

Totally understood. But, I have two different websites both using the same version of PP. Now, the one site was in fact an upgrade and the one with the problems was a completely new install. For both galleries I created FRESH NEW custom CSS files beginning with a new version 8 CSS file. The same one in fact.

I don't have a problem with having to define the text for multiple elements. I just don't understand why one gallery had the problem and not the other when both are using the same version. And they both worked when I was editing the style. Even the upgraded gallery should have all new files right? That is what puzzles me.

At least you identified the fix and I can stop beating my head on the desk!

There would have to be a difference whether you realize it or not in the styles and templating etc your using.

Like is one integrated with a forum and the other a standalone. There is always a difference.
