| Mouse over thumbnails - text?
Hi,
I hope you can help me understand this problem.
We have random images on the sidebar here and thumbnails that can be scrolled under the main image. When you mouse-over any of those you see the text which is the name of the main image on the page. Is this what it is supposed to do? Is it supposed to show the main of the image the mouse is over?
On the homepage at the moment, when I mouse-over any of the thumbnails on the 'most recent' or 'random', I get the name of one of the pictures that I can't currently locate. (When I mouse-over the comment images I get the name of the actual image.) gallery.backyardpoultry.com/
I have some more questions, but it may be clearer if I use a new topic for them.
Thank you for any assistance.

If you mouse over an image the alt tag is going to be the photo title or the filename if there is no title correct.
Are you using our latest code or an older copy? DSCN1365 - ReefTalk Gallery |

Great. Thanks Chuck. So just to confirm, I don't need to run the install, just upload those files and overwrite the ones from 8.22?

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place. I'll post elsewhere if you point me in the right direction.
I was wondering if I could alter the thumbnail hover text to show the username of the photo owner as well as the title of the photo?

Not really not without you alter the coding. The code is not designed by default to pass the username to any functions that build the thumbnails.

I will give you a hint on this incase you feel good enough to hack.
We pass variables to functions like so. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
See how we pass information to the function get_imagethumb in that array of info. A quick and dirty hack to make the mouse over a username could be replace say in the example I am showing the title variable with whatever variable is defined for the username if there is one in that query your doing. You would of course have to make sure your grabbing the username and defining that in your query but replacing the title variable in the get_imagethumb lines with whatever variable you define for username will work.
