As PP has never really had any advanced feature set when tying into vb for usergroups, is there a way to mask out certain blocks of the admin ie...

Mask Blocks these blocks for certain Admins:
Administration
Edit Settings <-- Specific Options

We would like certain staff to be able to use some features of the Admin, but not others, i know i can use the tmpl system & use if conditions etc, is there anything else?

Would be nice if PP actually did a overhaul of itself, better tmpl system, use of conditional statements etc & got up with the times in numerous area's, not much out there in terms of good galleries, would like to see more of PP.....

Our permissions structure does not work like vbulletin. We integrate with the groups from the forum but that does not mean our product is going to work how you set or do things in your forum. That is a misconception that I see users make all the time. Our usergroup permissions are going to follow how we do permissions in our product. With that in mind it is simple to do what you want.

1. Create a new group in vbulletin and set permissions as you see fit.

2. You can resync your usergroups in PhotoPost and set that new sub admin group to have mod access.

3. As far as mods you can set that moderators have global permissions or assign specific mods to categories all that is done from our side.

PhotoPost did do an overhaul of its design and that was version 8. Remember our product integrates with 20 different products and is very feature rich. In fact there is no other product out there that is as feature rich and diverse as our product. That is just a simple fact but alot of the comments I see like yours come from the misconception they want things to be some vb clone.

I was thinking and the perfect example of what I am talking about is standard in vBulletin. It is the default usergroup in vBulletin called Super Moderators.

I wasnt askig for it to be a clone of the vb usergroup permissions.

I am explaining how things operate which is what the forum is about your posting in. The question you had has to do with you trying to make our program operate like vbulletin permission structure does which is why I explained how our program operates like I did above.

I am only saying as I have previously stated if you do not want admininstrators to have full access like you do they would need to be in some other administrators group you create that is not usergroup 6 and you would set the access to admin to no and moderator access to yes.
