Upload photo link

Since I upgraded from v 7.03 to v 8.21 I have now lost the link to upload pictures.
I have checked all the permissions in vbulletin and PhotoPost and we should be able to upload but the link isn't there.

Brian.

Have you properly done your upgrade? Please read the upgrade instructions in the documentations folder of the downloaded code.

There was most definately several upgrades to run between 7.03 and 8.21 and one of those upgrades alters the usergroups table to add in a captcha field so if you have not ran the required upgrades then you would not be able to grab permissions because your query would fail.

You would have to send information so we can look at your site but your issue is most likely as I state. It is all centered to your usergroup permissions not being done.

I really would be most grateful if you would have a look for me as I am completely stuck.
I have opened an account on my website, where should I send the details of that?

Yes you would have to send information so I can look at it. You can send the info through the contact us link in our site header.

I have another guy I am awaiting on information for and I told him the same thing. He even sent me copies of his usergroups table and I even pointed out to him you need to run your upgrade as your captcha field does not exist in your usergroups table which tells me the upgrade was not ran. If the captcha field does not exist and your try running 8.2 files you definately will not have any usergroup permissions as the query would fail.

I highly suspect this is your issue as well.

Your upload page loaded fine your issue is your custom vb4 header which does not conform to the vb4.2 standards. Your not loading the vb4 navbar and sub navbar where your photopost menu appears.

I have thus enabled the old style menubar template in photopost that loads if your vb is less than 4.2

My suggestion would be to backup your header and footer and then revert then to the vb 4.2 default ones. You can then redo your header and footer to any custom changes you have made but preserve the navigation as the navigation manager is a big improvement on how they do there navigation and personally it is always best to have one navigation menu not two.

Yeah if you can correct your issue and get your subnav menu working then your photopost submenu should appear under your tab and your photopost menubar template can be put back to the default vb4 one we release.

All I did since your header isn't working right was enable the old style PP7 menubar.
