Nofollow on comments?

Hi,

Some bots have filled my galery comments with linkspam, and this dropped my google-PR to 0. The problem is that the links are not "nofollow" marked.

How can I do this? Or can I disable links in comments?

thanks ..

have you tried deleting the comments. In the new Photopost 8 we expanded the captcha into comments for all usergroups. There is no setting to disallow a link in a description or comment.

Its OK for me if there a links in a comment but I don't want that there is a "follow". This dramaticly drops my PR. I have got PR0 after some weeks from PR4. Google drops me at the end because of the bad link neighborhood.

How can I add a no follow to all links like I use in VBSEO with the VB4?

Not sure what your trying to say here. If someone places a comment you want us to actually search that comment for a link and if there is one add a no follow statement to the actual link inside the person's comment?

Feel free to place suggestions in the suggestions forum if you want to make a suggestion on a feature that does not exist in the actual program.

We have nofollow relation statements on any relative links in our actual program what your asking is some type of filter on user posted content.

For example I know how to alter our coding say for our convert_markups function to add a nofollow relation to links when we convert links thats easy. However if your using vbulletin we use the vbulletin bbcode markup functions and if they do not insert nofollow tags then there is not much I can do about there code.

If I put a link in a comment, it will be visible without a "nofollow" statement because you use the VBulletin funktions to view the comment?

On the VB-forum-side I use VBseo and this tool adds a "nofollow" to the code.

vbulletin DOES NOT add a nofollow relation on any link in a thread in there forum I know this I use vb. Your talking about a vbseo feature not a support issue specifically with our product. I can only tell you what I know. I do not use vbseo or can I tell you anything about that product.

For example adding a nofollow link to any link in a description or comment in our program when we use the convert_markups function in our program is easy. I did that here and can easily include that in our source code for download.

urls - Omegatron Gallery

What I am saying is I have no control over the vbulletin code or how it works. vbseo does not operate or alter our coding at all nor should it.

Now you can download 8.12 and upgrade and make a minor alteration to your vb3.php integration file as noted below to make the program use our convert_markups function not there coding however we can not start removing enhanced vbulletin functions because you want things to work like the vbseo hack in vb. Most vb customers do not use vbseo and use the default vb code and want the enhanced vb bbcode functions over our limited bbcode.

in vb3.php you see this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
you can replace that with this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Thanks, that fixes my problem.

Please note the following:

An update to our search algorithms - Inside Search

If someone places a link - in a comment - on you webpage, this can drop your website to the end of the google index. Do you check every link on your page day by day?

I am not saying I disagree with you on googles procedures I am only saying that our program correctly uses the vbulletin markup functions which allow links.

Your disussing a vb addon and what it does. I am saying I can easily add no follow statements on any integration that uses our markup coding. In fact I already did that with the latest release. What I am saying is when integrate with vb your using there markup and if there markup does not alter links to add no follow then they are not added. Clearly how those links are altered using vbseo is not done through the default vb bbcode markup but some other way.
