here is a screen shot ..I am looking to edit the amount of image under the main image..
also how do I change the size the main image /" medium image"

and how would I go about relocating the additional info box..
or add the text: on top of the url so you can see the url?
make it center ( what template is it )

to make it easier I added comment to the screen shot so you understand me better

I luved pp7.03 but vb is screwing everything up for me .. with there editor..
oh when do you / or should I say will you be integrating the vb4 editor ??

I turned off the left collumn in everything other than the index..
much better

stilll would like to center the info in the additional info pal..
( know the template name or what ever it's using to get it's info..and fix the IM / email thing there as well


the generated product... in all urls it shows this "example" what am I missing.. also I had to turn off the form block (forum wouldn't load ) and the members profile would not load

ok I figured out the pppath by editing the xml..

I see it phrases smiles in the Edit Photo Description ( main discription of the photo) and in Last Comment Posted in the members profile but not when makeing a comment to a photo

so most I fixed or figured out ... been a while ( bare with me)

still the couple things like additional info pal..

oh and the latest comment on the index will not turn on..
can I edit it in the DD (phpmyadmin) maybe a setting not registering?

and is there a way to have larger images resized automaticly like before ??

If someone upload a image 1800 / 1800 it would resize them to what ever you had trigger it ..

The xml you edited you did not have to edit if you would have set permission on them per the install or upgrade documentation. Your real urls would have been replaced in there when generated. That is a common issue probally one of the top things I have seen on people upgrading. We spent some time on the documentation and explicitly noted to read the documentation before installing or upgrading in our announcements and still I answer this all the time. ;)

The additional info boxes are all in the showphoto template and you can edit however you see fit.

As far as comment on index they do display maybe your using the category cache?

Not sure what your talking about resizing as nothing has changed on image resizing. You never have been able to resize a main photo that has already been uploaded. The main photo is resized down to the max dimensions when a user uploads the photo and mediums and thumbnails are created at that time. You can resize mediums and thumbnails under scan database in admin.

other than that All folders are correct permissions
so I am not sure what other permissions you mean ?
I'm not using category cache, Even if I was why would it not show ? will figure it out

oh in my error logs I get (ckeditor.php' not found or unable to stat,) even with
"If using the Enhanced option above, do you want to enable the vB3 or vB4 WYSIWYG control in Post Comments?" off

will you be getting the new editor working with PP or vbgallery>?

This is the biggest thing becasue of the error logs filling up with this error..

there are no calls to ckeditor in pp8. we use a simple comment box. Based on this I have no idea where you would be getting this error.

the xml files I am referring to are located nowhere near where you might have installed some hack years ago. The documentation has complete instructions on upgrade or install procedures and where files are located to change permissions on.

That is a complex answer with no real answer. If we can support it we will but definately not sooner so if anything later. We have more important stuff to work on like updating other products adding mobile support etc etc.

Your referring to the feature template and as far as sidebar thats many templates all depends on what your trying to talk about.

oh is there a way to make Most Recent only say Most Recent
and Most Popular Images only say Most Popular Images etc instead of Most Recent · Most Popular Images · Random

a couple other things ..
in additional info
the Linked Image : works great with images but when its a movie it's showing the the instead of the thumnail..
we went over this a while back and you fixedd it so the bbcode would be [media] or [mov] for movies

also
we allow .mov movies and people with windows if they don't have quicktime install they just get a blank..
is there a was for it to say if you wish to view this video you need to install quick time..

this happens with win7 ie9 and ff and opera
same goes for windows media player if they don't have it installed

Not really sure what your referring to here. You can make any mods you wish at your own risk. Remember I am here to provide product support. We do not assist with or provide support for code hacks. I can say how our program operates but if your trying to change how things are coded your on your own for that. I may at times give a hint as your showing in your link above but that is up to me if I want to or not.

There should be a blank row if your results are not enough to fill out the whole table results on features. You can provide more information if you want me to respond further about that.

As far as quicktime I have no idea. We load an embedded player which operates regardless of whether someone has quicktime installed on there home player. The embedded players run online and have nothing to do with a users home computer.

hacks............... lol your kidding me right look at the link I posted ... if your software supports media and in your additonal info show a .wmv for a IMAGE . this is not HACK............ it's a BUG ! this would be called helping you fix PP the right way.......... look at addition info...
under IM/ Email... there is a url there WHY .. it show be blank so the user can add a email address NO? lol

The im email social thing is suppose to be how it is coded it opens up your mail program.

I would have to uninstall quicktime to comment further but as with any video if the embed player works or doesnt there is the normal download link that displays for any video as that is how video works.

The quicktime thing we will have to see as maybe they changed things. The whole purpose of embedded players is to make sure things are easier. Like I said though most multimedia there is direct link as that is ultimately how we show any multimedia thing as a download.

I can add the media tag thing to the build thats easy enough.

Sure I will post when I am looking for a mod..

well we never do checks to see what stuff a user has on there computer. we have embed players if there is one for a specific video but those are external code. We have no control over whether a player would work or not. As i stated we offer multimedia as a download that is how it is really supported. I will do testing and if there is a way to check to see if quicktime is installed or not I will respond in this thread.

I know you have stated other software here are more important ATM and you all have PUT pp on the back of the priority list
