PP first then wordpress & SMF (via WP plugin)

So I already have PP on my site and it has a 25 or so users. Now I realize that I need more than a photo post to make the site have legs. I want to add WP for the front end and a forum -- probably SMF. There seems to be a good plugin to make SMF work with WP so I'm hoping they will all work together.

I know that PP has integration with both these software. I've read around in the forums here and I know I'm going to have to purge the usergroups table, rerun the install script with the integration option and then rebuild the table with the users info.

I don't have a lot of users so I don't mind manually reentering them in WP. I believe I read that if I could enter the users in the same order they are currently in in the table then I will be able to have their posts still assigned and everything should be preserved. Is this correct? Finally, can you tell me how to get my user's passwords? In the user table the passwords seem to be encrypted. I think I'll need them to register them with WP. Or if you know of another way...

Well you would need to reinstall PhotoPost to integrate with SMF forum and have users reregister yes. I can not speak of any bridge your talking about or how that works. If you setup your forum register the users and reinstall photopost things should be able to be realigned.

Thanks. How do I preserve the users' passwords? Or, in other words, how do I see the users' passwords so that I can set them up in SMF or WP? When I look at the pp_users table in phpMyAdmin they look like a hash value.

You can not see users passwords. They are md5 passwords in the database

So, how do I migrate the users over and have them still able to log in?

That would be up to you all i am saying is we do support integration you want into a smf forum bt you would have to reinstall our product to integrate with that forum. We have no control what users exist in smf.
